A resistor is used for parallel connection across vehicle lighting functions to simulate the load of a regular filament bulb. This can eliminate LED related problems such as flickering, unexpected operation or burnt out bulb indications.

NB: One resistor is required for each lighting function. Resistors generate heat and should be secured against the metalwork of the vehicle to ensure adequate heat dissipation.
