Good for the environment – digital installation manuals from ERICH JAEGER
ERICH JAEGER is now converting its installation manuals for towbar wiring kits for the aftermarket to a digital version. This helps to save a lot of paper and printer ink and makes this product group more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
In the past, ERICH JAEGER included extensive installation manuals in paper form with its towbar wiring kits. As one wiring kit can be used for different vehicle models, the maximum number of documents was up to 14, each with around 40 pages. Of these, 13 were not used, as the wiring kit is only installed in one specific vehicle model.
To do the environment a favor, ERICH JAEGER is converting the completely printed installation instructions to digital versions. The product now comes with an individual Quick Start Guide for each item number. This comprises a four-page leaflet in DIN A5 size. This means that a maximum of 200 A4 pages of paper can be saved for one wiring kit. The Quick Start Guide is designed to provide experienced technicians with enough information to install the wiring kit. For further details, the guide has a QR code that customers can use to download the complete installation manual.
The changeover process is currently underway. Many of the most common electrical kits have already been updated. All further products will then be converted over the course of the rest of the year.
