FAQ

What does 4.80 mean?

4.80 = Width of tyre
4.00 = Distance from the outside edge of the tyre to the rim
8 = Diameter of the rim

The diameter of the tyre is not always included when sizing is specified. To calculate the diameter of the tyre, add the 4” (the edge of tyre to the rim,) then 8” (diameter of the rim,) then 4” (the rim to the edge of the tyre) = 16”

Note that sizes for this type of product are rarely exact. A 4.80/4.00×8 tyre is typically around 15.5” in diameter, but it would still be considered 4.80/4.00×8
